Description

Bred by the USDA, it was introduced in 1983. It is primarily used as a bittering hop due to its high Alpha Acids but many brewers use it for aroma and flavor as well. Nugget’s high myrcene oil content gives it a woody and piney character.

Cohumulone: 22 – 30 % of alpha acids

Humulene: 16 – 19 % of total oil
Caryophyllene: 7 – 10 % of total oil
Farnesene: < 1 % of total oil
